Excellent taste, no strong fishy smell, and can store it in frig for next day use.....makes a wonderful dip with some sour cream, mayo., lemon juice and fresh dill weed added to it. (One can make up their own dip, as a great many flavors can combine with salmon)...... Great product ! Carol Habben5DO NOT DRAIN!Highly recommended. Excellent quality.Visual appeal is minimal, a result of being cooked in the can. Also a result of being cooked in the can is that all the liquid inside is natural juices from the salmon, and NOT added water. I suggest, as was suggested to me, that the salmon be broken up in to flakes, at which point it will re-absorb the natural juices within a minute or two. The liquid contains nutrients, and is a component of the nutritional information label on the can.5No color and a lot of skin...I was looking for a boneless/skinless salmon to replace our Double Q brand. Our grocer quit carrying that brand and I can t find it at our local wal mart anymore. I use 6 cans at a time for a pot of salmon stew. I have three kids and don t have time to pick each can apart. I m used to just opening up a can and dumping it into the pot hence my reason for paying ridiculously higher prices for the boneless/skinless. This salmon was very pale and lacking in color and also had A LOT of darker meat/skin. I probably threw away as much as I kept. (I don t mind the darker, but I have three picky little boys that won t eat the dark stuff floating in the pot...) I m very disappointed in this brand, especially for the price......1Good, but doubled in price without noticeSalmon is good, a nice way to have good healthy protein on hand. The problem I have is the doubled price increase when I had on subscribe and save. You defiantly cannot set it and forget it. price increases with sellers subscribe and save and I think we should get a notice when the price increases by a set decided percentage point. And an increase of about 45% seems to warrant an email. Went from $4ish to $8 per can, with SAS.4Best Canned bar none, and I've tried Many.Best quality and taste of every canned salmon I've ever tried and I've tried many. I lived in Alaska 25 years and canned some of my own salmon, this product even beats that as there is no bones or skin, just pure salmon meat. Great replacement for tuna fish sandwiches, casseroles or straight out of the can. If you like salmon you'll love this!5Not Pink But Absolutely Fantastic......... I love the stuff so it was a treat for me and I figured worth trying after reading the reviews!Cracked open a can and was actually pretty impressed, for canned salmon, this stuff is not bad at all!! I had to stop myself from not eating the whole can in one sitting, lol!So that night for dinner I made some simple tacos, no taco sauce, but salsa and made one of his with some of this. Surprisingly, he didn't believe me when I told him that it was salmon! He loved it too!Now I'll be watching for either the price to drop or to see if I can find it in our local grocer stores. Hope this is helpful!5They were truly the best I've ever hadIt seems a little pricey but it averages out to be $ 4.00 per 6 ounce can. I used 2 cans tonight to make salmon patties. I found a very simple recipe on-line. They were truly the best I've ever had. Even from a nice family restaurant. I'm certainly going to buy more. Sautee 1 finely chopped onion and I stalk of celery in 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Beat 2 eggs then add onions and celery 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs, 3 tablespoons of light mayo, 2 cans drained wild planet Alaska pink salmon. Mix together with hands and form into patties and pan brown each side 4 or 5 minutes in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. They are wonderful!!!5Amazing source for ready to go protein and omega-3I make all of my lunches and dinner ahead of time for the entire week and eat 2 cans/day of this salmon, one for lunch and one for dinner. It's quick, easy, and tastes great, saving me time and preventing me from eating junk food and going off of my diet. Really helps me hit my macros for the day! I get have this on subscribe and save to get 15% off so it's a great value as well for quality protein.5Handy source of wild salmon.I use these salmon tins weeklyfor my Keto eating. Muuuch cheaper than salmon pieces, and easy to form into salmon patties. I mix with bacon panko crumbs, an egg and spices, saute in butter--voila!! One can makes 2 good sized patties.
