Just not goodI don't write many reviews, but these bugged me enough that I had too. I purchased the insoles to put in a pair of dress shoes that were starting to hurt my feet. While I understand these are meant to be more supportive, the support doesn't feel right. In addition, the squeeked very loudly in the dress shoes. It was really odd how loud they were when I'd walk through the office. So I tried them in my tennis shoes to see if they'd work for those and I swapped my New Balance insoles into my dress shoes. The NBs are doing fine in the dress shoes, but these insoles are terrible in the running shoes (not that I run). The cushioning in the forefoot is too hard and the arch support just doesn't cut it. All around disappointed in how bad these are. They literally hurt my feet. Thought I was getting a deal, but I'll have to kick out more money for insoles I know are of better quality and construction. 1Best arch supports money can buyI've had flat feet my whole life and a bad lower back but these supports are the real deal. I have spent thousands of dollars on supports and none have worked like these. I'm on my feet 8-12 hours a day and before wearing these it was pure hell. Now I can operate at full capacity with these orthaheels. I've seen reviews saying these were expensive but honestly; I'm more than happy with these and my last pair I still have but they are worn out. Very much worth the money. 5Amazing! These helped cure my plantar fasciitis pain.I was suffering from bad plantar fasciitis pain, primarily in my left heel (it felt like someone stuck a nail up my heel when I got out of bed or up from my office desk). After hearing that new insoles are usually the best 1st course of action, I found these on Amazon and ordered them based on the great reviews. I put them in my athletic shoes, which I wear more as much as I possibly could. At first, they feel odd on your feet - your feel like they're doing stretching exercises. That's when you realized how out-of-whack your arches have become. But after a week you get used to the added heel and arch support. And gradually, the heel pain decreased more and more. Until finally it doesn't bother me anymore. Relief!! I love the support that my Orthaheels provide, I am heel pain free, and a loyal customer. 5Great for my plantar fasciitisI have plantar fasciitis. Before these insoles, there were certain pairs of my shoes I simply could not wear, as they would1. Be unbearable after 1-2 hours2. Make me incredibly sore day 2-3.I'm not sure exactly how or why they work, but using these insoles, I now wear the same pairs of shoes I previously couldn't. I don't have immediate or recurring pain either.They are hard, so day 1 is a break-in period, but after that they work well. 5A must for walking shoesHave had plantar fasciitis in the past and have found these inserts the most comfortable and preventative way to prevent over pronation. I walk in Merrill athletic shoes, but have found their inserts thin and not supportive so I replace them with the Vionic insoles. About every 5 months, I change to a new set; walking on asphalt about 15-20 miles per week. 5It worksBought one of these on Zappos and liked it so much I bought another one on Amazon. It takes three to four weeks for your body and foot to adjust to this insole. So I've been using it for about three weeks now and I'm starting to see a difference. My Plantar Fascia pain is almost totally gone. I still have some hip pain but not as much as I used to. So hopefully in a week or two I'll be totally pain free. 5Firmest insole I've tried, helping with new for problemsI've been using Spenco Walker Runners and Cross Trainers for about the last decade and they've been great. Over the last year though, I've switched from a desk job to a job walking around on concrete all day carrying heavy things, plus I've also been hitting the gym, on top of being a larger man to begin with. I started showing signs of plantar fasciitis, so I wanted to see what else was out there since my Spenco were due for replacement.I ordered a bunch from Amazon to see what was out there. SofSole, Powerstep, and a Powerstep clone seemed ok, but were squishy instead of supportive. A new pair of Spenco Walker Runners were exactly how I expected. Also got the Spenco Total Support and they seem a step up in firmness and support. Then I tried on the Orthaheel.These are noticable the firmest of the 3, in a good way. Much more are support, while feeling a little thinner than the Spenco sets. While I plan to keep both new pairs of Spenco soles, the Orthaheel have been in my work shoes for a week now, and my incidents of foot pain are already way down. While they are more expensive than either pair of Spenco brand, if they hold up as long then it will be money well spent. 5Highly effective.I have PTTD (ankle tendinitis caused by overpronation), and I've been trying out a lot of different products (inserts, arch support shoes, foot "wraps", etc) to help alleviate the problem. Orthaheel inserts are the single most effective product I've tried. Even on days when I walk 10+ miles, my ankle doesn't hurt. I've tried several arch support products where my ankle will start to hurt after even 30 minutes on my feet. 5Very comfortable insertsBought these for my husband who has had his knees replaced and has plantar fasciitis. He loves them and we'll be buying again. I wear Vionic because of two back surgeries. I highly recommend to anyone with foot, knee or back problems. 5Greatly reduced the pain of Plantar fasciitis.After steroid shots and new shoes failed to relieve the pain I tried a variety of orthotics. These were the most effective. Now I wear them constantly; I never go barefoot, I have them in all my shoes, even my slippers. 5
