They are heavy winter type socks and compression not so good for my legs. 1Nice Socks, but NOT compression socks at all!I have several pair of compression socks, ranging from high compression, 20-30 mm/Hg down to others that fall in the range this product claims ( 8-15 mm/Hg). These simply do not provide that level of compression.I own several pair of conventional dress socks that provide more compression than these. I also own a couple pair of compression socks rated at this same level. This product simply doesn't provide any where near that level of compression. They are virtually useless as compression socks.They are unusually thick and hence warm, which is nice. However, at this price point (very high for compression socks) I'd expect something that actually does what it's supposed to do. I gave 2 stars since the material is good and the product is well made. However they are just expensive knee high dress socks for cold weather. At least they stay up on their own. Not at all recommended. 2Elderly father loves themMy father is in Hospice now and had horrible swollen legs...the nurse suggested I order some of these...his legs are back to normal size now.
