here's the real dealReading the many reviews on here will give you a good idea about how great this tea is. Seriously, it was a life saver for me when I needed it. I know before I bought it, all I really wanted was to know...1. How stinky is it,really?To me it tasted like licorice and maple syrup. If either of those things are gross to you this might be tougher to get down. I also like drinking tea, so I enjoyed it. But frankly, when my supply dropped you could have told me to dried powdered cow dung and I would've, so...2. How much do I actually need to drink?The box recommends 3-5 cups daily but 3 cups didn't do much for me. 5 cups, however, and I was pumping 4-5 ounces on both sides in 10 minutes. That was A LOT for me, so basically this was the holy grail for me (the Milky Grail?)3. How quickly will it work?Took about 24-36 hours after drinking my first 4-5 cups.4. What happens when I want to stop?You just stop drinking the tea and I found that my supply was back to "normal" in about 24 hours.5. Should I do anything else to boost it's effectiveness?While drinking this tea, I also drank a lot of plain water (the tea itself will also help keep you hydrated) and a very hoppy beer each night. Both of those things helped significantly with my supply. But be prepared to have a full bladder pretty much all day.5Decreased my milk supplyNursing mother leaving a review under my husbands account. I bought this tea because my coworker talked it up like crazy! I liked the flavor, but after using as directed for about 10 days, I went from pumping 12-15 ounces while at work for 7 hours to less than half of that. Nothing else had changed in my life style routine other than this. I stopped drinking it and within 36 hours, my supply was back up, closer to what it was. Just be warned, some people it has adverse reactions for and may decrease your supply! Glad I stopped drinking it so I can keep feeding my 7 month old!1For Supply Issues Or Just Increasing SupplyAbsolutely love this tea due to the benefits! When I began breastfeeding for the first time I was very concerned about not having an adequate milk supply due to latching issues that caused me not to feed for a few weeks. While eventually there was nothing actually wrong with my milk supply, this tea does assist with boosting your supply. I noticed a huge difference the first time. My breast were much fuller! Just to make sure it was the tea helping I decided to test it out for a couple of weeks only drinking one cup per week. After doing this I came to the conclusion that on the day of drinking the tea and the days following my supply increased! Overall taste is bitter and can be fixed by simply adding honey. I would highly recommend this tea to anyone having supply issues! As an added bonus, it did not have a negative affect on my baby's feeding.5Watch for adverse reactions in baby!Please be aware that this can adversely affect your baby. I took the tea as directed for about 10 days when my baby began having terrible gas pain with frequent sticky poop. After stopping the tea for about 5 days my baby finally began to return to normal. This did stimulate milk production a little, but it wasn't worth the cost for us. Please make yourself familiar with blissed thistel and fenugreek adverse reactions.2Tastes pretty good and seems to be working.I don't really like hot tea so I like to make about 6 at a time and put them in a pitcher in the fridge so I can drink it cold. I drink about 3 cups a day and it seems to be working. When I pump I've gotten about 5 oz rather than only two. I also feel like my baby sounds like he's swallowing more like he's getting more milk.5Works!!! Easy to get used to flavorLove this tea! Super great that I can buy it in bulk for cheap, such a good price. The tea works so well, cause I definitely noticed a decline in my milk when I stopped drinking it every day or only once in the day. It s best if you can have three cups of it a day. The flavor takes a little getting used to only cause I don t like the taste of fennel, but not too bad. Especially if you add stevia drops then it s totally easy to drink. It s hard for us busy moms to eat enough or drink enough water to keep our supply going so I m glad I have this tea! Recommend to start your drinking regimen a week before babe arrives to get it in your system and help get your milk in faster! Wish I had done that. Also side note, eat a lot of basil, oatmeal, and garbanzo beans for fast milk supply!5This stuff WORKS for boosting milk supplyIf you're waiting for your milk supply to come in, or feel it's not where it should be, or else headed back to work and worried you won't be able to keep up your supply while pumping during the day...invest in this stuff. It totally works! Recommend drinking 3-5 cups of this/day (new bag each time) and you'll start seeing results in a few days to a week (believe me, you WILL notice a difference). The taste is not great (not the worst I've had), but I add a little bit of juice, or honey, or both and it tastes great. I've tried the lactation chews, etc. and this is the best I've tried. Good luck, mamas!5totally worked!ok so I rated this a bit lower for flavor cause it really didn't taste great but HOLY COW! it was worth it! I am so glad that a friend recommended this tea to me because it increased my production so much! I could tell the days that I wasn't able to drink any- it was honestly unbelievable difference! between this and sunflower lecithin, it was a game changer! when I paired those two things together I stopped getting Mastitis and the milk was a flowing. now it wasn't some miracle amount but it was more!5I think it worksThis was recommended a lot by other mommies at my support group and had to try it as I was breastfeeding my now 2 week old daughter! I drink this 2-3 times a day and I take fenugreek supplements too and it has really helped increase my breastmilk supply. Not sure if it was the tea or the fenugreek as I started taking them both at the same time. Taste was good, i am a tea lover so the taste doesn t bother me. I sometimes mix milk on it to improve the flavor.5Hydrate with this teaToday is the most i have pump in half a day for storage. This mother s milk tea is amazing and a malunggay supplement everyday as well helped. Now Gaia seems satisfied every after breastfeeding and still have plenty to store for her when I go back to work.5
