Best Hot Sauce EverHot sauce is largely a matter of personal taste. Some like it thick, some like it hot, some like it mild, some like it chunky. But no matter what their personal preference, I have never served anyone California Pepper Plant Sauce and not had them say, "That's the best hot sauce ever!"What makes it so good? It's rich and flavorful, that's what. It actually tastes like the peppers from which it is made, not like flavored vinegar, which, at least to me, so many sauces taste like.Don't look for this in your local grocery store; you won't find it. I've never even seen it in stores that specialize in pepper sauces. I first tried it in our favorite breakfast spot, Rick's Cafe in Palm Springs. My family has never looked back. This is now the only hot sauce we keep in the house. I was delighted to find Amazon now carries it for so reasonable a price; I've paid as much as $6 a bottle ordering it elsewhere. Try it! You'll not regret it!5Tasty medium-mild hot sauceWe sampled this at a shop in Monterey, and were delighted to find it available on Amazon. It s delicious, and keeps well in the fridge after opening. Very flavorful, and not one of those silly blow-your-head-off hot sauces that nuke your tastebuds this one just wakes up your tongue to enhance the flavors, which is what hot sauces are supposed to do!5DeliciousHot but not too hot, once opened it is to be refrigerated. It last me about two months or longer. Even thought it is on the spicy slightly hot side it packs flavor. It's not TOO spicy, (on a scale of 1-10, if give it a 6 or so. There is a lot of garlic, salt and a bit of peppery taste to it. There hasn't been anything I've put it in that it didn't pair well with. It's thick, if I could compare it to anything, it would be the "papa burn" sauce from black Bear diner. Love it, will definitely buy more. Great as a gift too!5Great on Eggs or CarnitasHad this stuff for the first time while in Monterey, California this past spring. I was at a breakfast spot overlooking the bay and it was on the table. I put it on my eggs and WOW! Fantastic taste. So, I bought some from the restaurant and brought it home with me. Being from Texas, I take pride in our salsa. This stuff is a great alternative to traditional salsa you find in Tex Mex restaurants or the Louisiana hot sauce.5So gladMy dad lived in Paso Robles and he always seemed to have bottles of this around. Then you started seeing it in most of the 5 Cities and know its on Amazon. Its my favorite sauce, and if you haven't tried it in spaghetti, you really should.5
