Stop bleeding quicklyI use these 3x week after dialysis. The bandaids get me out of the unit much faster.I usually buy one box for the unit for other patients Who can t afford to buy them but really need them. The dialysis unit does not buy them for patient use. 5Didn't work for me.I bought these for stopping the bleeding on my arm between dialysis treatments. I had two problems with them. First, they are not the flexible cloth-like bandages I really like. They were advertised as no latex which I assumed was the cloth alternative but instead, were a thin sticky plastic material which was hard to get on straight with one hand and pulled the skin when I moved my arm. I take blood thinners and my skin is paper thin. Any pulling will tear the skin and, in some cases, cause blood blisters. The other problem worth mentioning, is that this bandage is made to swell with bleeding and stop it. It did swell, but the bleeding continued to the edge of the pad where it exited. A simple gauze pad did a much better job of stopping the blood. Probably good intentions in the design, but it didn't work for me. A three star rating because it might work for your application. 3Good bandage that helps stop bleedingUsed on dialysis patient that is also on anticoagulants. This bandage features padding that aids with clotting. Find it less obstructive than gauze and tape. Good to carry a few extra ones to stop bleeding from small wounds or cuts for patients on blood thinners. 5Dialysis saviorThese Sureseal's are genius, and are heaven sent. I've been using them for a month now, and when applied correctly, they surely do seal and prevent blood from leaking. They are extremely easy to remove, and don't tear my skin when doing so.The old tape and Guage tends to rip the skin right off my arm and cause blisters forming from the tape.Sureseal is brilliant! 5Bob Doud's Sureseal Bandage ReviewI take plavix and when I get a minor cut (as I often do working in the kitchen) it takes a long time for the bleeding to stop with a conventional bandage. The blood often soaks through the bandage requiring one or more additional bandages. They have a thick absorbent pad in the center. Renal Dialysis patients use them as well. I have used them on one of my dogs in a situation in which he had injured his back, left foot. I even use them myself. I highly recommend them! 5Very absorbent bandaidThese are great bandaids for absorbing bleeding etc. My wife used them when the techs removed theneedles from her access arm after dialysis. However we stopped buying because of costs andbandaids that DaVita provided worked almost as good. 5They have to be centered exactly over the holeI use these in hemodialysis for when the needles are pulled out and they work very well 5
