Problem with timed releaseTaking regular niacin at bedtime, I'm usually asleep by the time the flush comes on. Taking this brand, I find that the entire flush bomb hits at once, upon waking up in the morning! My skin goes strawberry red, and I'm itchy and hot for about an hour. This happens about once a week, and it feels like it's triggered by the increased heart rate of waking up. I'm going to order the regular stuff from now on (I've heard that the flush-free stuff doesn't work.)1could not takeI ordered timed release niacin instead of non flushable and cannot take it. I become way too flushed to be able to use. I have since ordered the non flushable type.1It Works. The Niacin Flush Proves It. Take at Bedtime.Rigby Niacin is effective, but I highly recommend that you take this before going to bed. If you don t, you will likely experience niacin flushing while you re awake.
