Very disappointed!I bought this product specifically because of the lack of artificial coloring listed in the description. Blue No 1 is definitely food coloring. Very disappointed! 1as well as a myriad of other things that are not great for youBullet point clearly said no artificial colors, sugars, etc. You'll notice that they don't actually show you a picture of the ingredients, which contain sucrose (sugar) and FD&C Blue No. 1, as well as a myriad of other things that are not great for you. False advertising. 1GLUTEN FREE and VEGANWhen my daughter needed to go on iron supplements, I had a very difficult time finding an iron supplement that was both gluten free and vegan. For openers, if it's a capsule, it's not vegan. The capsules are made from gelatin, so cow or pig.In desperation, I finally called the manufacturer of Ferrous Gluconate, a product I had taken for many years with great success and minimal stomach upset (I could tolerate two per day, but not three). I spoke with a knowledgeable pharmacist. He did the necessary investigation while he was on the phone with me and then assured me that this product is both gluten free and vegan.NOTE: I just ordered this item again and received a different item! It was not from Paddock Labs but from "Perrigo". I'm sorry, did I say that a substitution was acceptable? It is NOT. This product is gluten free and vegan from Paddock Labs. I am not interested in researching what Perrigo puts into its iron tabs. I want what I ordered!A SECOND NOTE: I did, in fact, put in the time to do the research. Turns out, Perrigo bought Paddock Labs a year and a half ago and has just now changed the label on the bottle. The normal Iron will prevent and help your immune system as a vitamin supplement but this is NOT SIMPLE IRON this is for people who Suffers anemia, so please don't take this if you don't have anemia because instead of give you a good result on your body will be prejudicial for you.My fiancee suffered from anemia in second level which is more than just the simple beginning level, she suffered because of her lack or a balance diet in the last 15 years, she is 21 now so nobody really found the anemia until now, so she was taking this product and another one i bought in here, expensive but works as good as this one, so after a year taking the other product and this one, not at same time of course but she tried with both but both work same way, well after a year of treatment the miracle just show up, she has NO ANEMIA AT ALL and I am the happiest man in this world because thank God she is happy now healthy and now she got a balanced diet plus their multivitamins and this ones, I guess after completing this bottles we will go to simple iron to maintain the iron levels on her blood.If you want to know what other product I used to combat anemia i will leave here the name, I bought through amazon too, so you can search in here to take a look, but put an eye on this, these products are just for people who suffers from anemia they are not simple iron.Life Extension Iron Protein Plus is the name of the other product my fiancee was taking to combat anemia on her body and of course with K1 vitamin. I couldn't believe that when I took it to the pharmacy it was going to cost me way over $200 to get this prescription filled. I decided to get on the computer and look it up myself. Well, Amazon helped me to find exactly what I needed. I couldn't believe the price and that I found just what I needed so quickly. I still can't understand the problem with pharmacies not having and/or gluconate on the shelf with a much lower price. Ferrous Gluconate is much easier on the stomach and keeps my iron levels where they are much needed each time I have my blood levels checked. 5
