not badthis protein is not bad. I had a few others and it was full of sugar and other things you just do not need. This one was not bad in sugar. The only thing I didn't care for was the favor, it was a little funny tasting, but I did get use to it. 3A Poor-tasting ProductFor many years I used Optimum Nutrition's Soy Protein powder and would have happily used it for ever. Because they stopped making it, I've been looking for alternatives. Now Foods version does not make the grade. The artificial vanilla taste is overwhelming, the product is gritty and the artificial sweetener's taste lingers for at least one half hour in your mouth. I assume that the contents are correctly listed on the label, so the product meets my requirements as far as protein is concerned. I'll grit my teeth (!) and finish it, and then look for an alternative. 2Grainy & GrossI make fruit/veggie smoothies everyday and normally use a whey protein powder. I tried this soy protein out and it was definitely a big disappointment. Super grainy and leaves a strange aftertase. Also, it doesn't blend well in a blender...the smoothies came out with a very liquid consistency rather than creamy and thick like a smoothie should be. 2Horrible flavorI have been on the hunt for a new soy protein powder ever since GNC decided to discontinue their Pro Performance Soy Isolate (not typically a fan of GNC but this protein was perfect) so I thought I d give this a try. I had mouth surgery and cannot eat regular food except mashed, bashed, orsmashed - or put through a food chopper. This soy protein helps me stay healthy by giving me the proteinfor my daily diet needs. I am also allergic to all milk products and use only soy based ones. The color ofthe container protects this product, too. I recommend this product for anyone to use, it tastes delicious andis not too sweet. However, it is especially good for a dietary challenged person recovering from surgeryor further treatment. 5
