WalkerGot this for my mother who needed extra support for her walker. Now she doesn't have to walk bent over and helps her stand up straight when walking.5ExcellentFit my purpose since I had a Fx hip a d fx wrist so I needed the support5easy to use and very adjustablePretty easy to use and very adjustable. I got this for my mom when she broke her wrist and it helped. She is short, so I had to cut a bit off the main post as well as the "handle bar" but that was easy to do with a hacksaw and the end caps can come out and be re-installed after cutting.Pricey compared to what a walker costs, but I didn't find any better price anywhere else.4Poorly engineered, a disaster waiting to happenPoorly engineered bracket that constantly loosen with time. the screw down clamps do not work well and should be redesigned. The shaft is too long and hence if your user is in the 5 foot range, you will have to cut the shaft. There is no need for it to be that long since with the constantly loosening clamps, to raise that shaft all the way up the entire length would result in a very flimsy unstable situation which will lead to injury.Perhaps a refresh course in mechanical engineering would do this company some good.1and the therapist did not like the resultsI ordered this for my Dad who suffered a stroke years ago, and recently broke a hip. I thought this might help with his therapy regiment. He tried it during one of his therapy sessions, and the therapist did not like the results. It may work for some therapy patients, it just didin't work for my Dad's particular situation.2Walker aidVery well manufactured. Lightweight, but supports well! Aids someone who tires easily through shoulders/elbows while using traditional walker!5Check your walkerIt has been a positive addition for therapy. Easy to attach but make sure you have the right kind of walker with two lower thinner bars in addition to the grab bars on the sides. The grab bars are too thick.5As I make my move from wheelchair to walker!This was ordered to help me with recovering from a broken leg and broken wrist. The handy grab handle is great for assisting me with picking up the walker and guiding it. However, the long post that supports the brace platform to the walker rotates a bit. I tried the sticky tape that came with it, but it doesn't seem to help the problem. I also watched a U-tube video about proper set-up of the walker for my height. That helped set it up ergonomically for me. I like the comfort of the platform for my arm. I think this is the best solution for my recovery. Thank you. Also, the company has great customer service.4Just Usable, but maybe the best you can buy for a reasonable price.Ergonomically it allows for multiple adjustments to accommodate most anyone's fore-arms and hands. It mounts on many walker styles very easily. It maybe the best design you can presently buy. However it has two glaring problems:1) The vertical posts do not stay in their clamped position; even using a pair of "channel lock" pliers on the knobs and tightening them to the point of bending the outside strap slightly, the posts and arm platforms will slide down over time. The platforms also rotate over time. (Note there are 4 clamping assemblies; only the top clamps are shown on the picture on Amazon. The pictures I've added shows all 4 clamps.) There is a small piece of sand paper on the clamping strap inside surface that is supposed to increase the friction to keep this from happening. With a heavy 200# person, the sandpaper does not. This is true also for 2 professional physical therapists employed in the rehab center where I used on the rehab's walker and their platform attachments. We ALL had to use pliers on the post straps to even have a chance of the posts staying at a usable height for more than a few minutes. In fact the sandpaper pieces may come unstuck from the clamps. Without the sandpaper it is hopeless to keep these posts at the correct height. A different design is needed to locate the posts vertically and at constant angle.2) The knobs (same knobs used every where on the attachment) used at the post attachment straps need redesign. The four lowest knobs (2 each side) are also the widest so if you go through a narrow doorway (think 28" or 30" wide) then you may mar the door jam and frame badly over time. The knobs need to have both a traditional bolt head for easier tightening than pliers on the thumb style knobs, and also incorporate a soft rubber ROUNDED sliding surface to keep from marring the door frames in one's home. BE WARNED, IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOOR FRAME LOOKS, THEN PAD THE FOUR LOWER KNOBS AFTER YOU GET THEM TIGHTENED. My pictures show the ubiquitous blue painter tape on the bottom 2 clamps which is over a soft rag covering the knobs.3For the price this product has quite a design flawIt doesn't matter how tight you tighten the clamping screws, the smooth surfaces of the rods slip against the clamps, and the platform rotates or drops down. It actually becomes quite unsafe. Being a medical product, FDA should take a close look at this manufacturer. I would have returned the product, if I didn't have an immediate need for my dad, at the very moment it started failing. I ended up drilling a hole through the clamping mechanism and placing a screw to fix the platform in place.Perhaps being aware of this design flaw, the manufacturers added sand-paper stickers to the clamping surfaces. However, these stickers are held in place by an adhesive, and so after some times the stickers themselves started sliding freely.1
