Flavorful tea, not bitterThe tea is wonderful. Flavorful and not bitter. However, I purchased a pack of 3, or 240 tea bags. I placed my order in February and all 3 boxes have expiration dates of June this year. I drink a lot of tea, but I don't think I can consume that many before the freshness expires. The boxes were wrinkled, partially crushed from the delivery. However, the tea is great. My only concern is that I will make use of all of them without loss of flavor before the end of freshness date.5LOVE it, It's my favorite Tea!I have been drinking tea for 30 years. I like a flavorful, stronger tea and this has it. I have tried hundreds of kinds of tea from all over. There is nothing I don't like about this tea except maybe I would like to buy it in my local stores. I don't drink grocery store tea because most of them are weak with no flavor.5Tasty, strong tea without bitternessThe headline says most of it. This is a tea with a lot of body and flavor. It will stand up to milk or cream or can be drunk plain. It isn't bitter or heavily tannic. The flavor is rich and deep and malty.5My favorite teaOdd delivery from the U.K. that didn t track well but was delivered on time . Great price on an exceptional any time tea.5Simply the Best.I grew up in Dublin and in my tea drinking experience, this is THE tea.No other commercially available tea comes close. Forget about breakfast/morning teas or afternoon tea blends, there is only one tea to drink and it's Lyons.I know people extol the virtues of PG tips, but honestly as good as PG may or may not be it doesn't have the deep tannin rich flavor of Lyons. (IMO, PG's complete lack of astringency leaves it flat and boring)So in this humble tea drinkers opinion it's Lyons or nothing...or maybe Bewleys as a close second.5Tasty teaWe visited Ireland this year and enjoyed tea and scones while there. Fans of Red Rock Irish police drama. Noticed they drank this tea (likely sponsors) so tried it. It tastes like the tea we had in Ireland. Yummy!4I love it, all of my children love itI am NOT a hot tea drinker. I went to Ireland the last week in December. It was really cold and after one cup of hot tea, you were all warmed up and not cold anymore!!! Most hot tea I have tried here in the states tastes fairly weak to me. This Irish tea is MUCH stronger and makes a delicious cup of tea!! I love it, all of my children love it, and my coffee drinker husband even asks for it!! When the kids are outside doing chores and freezing, they ask for the tea as soon as they walk in the door. Then they are all better. A little sugar and cream and they drink it almost every night an hour or so after dinner!!! I ordered 3 of the 80 count boxes, and we are hooked!!!! Also, the Irish family we visited uses an electric tea kettle. I haven't ever seen those before. It's plugged in, you push the button and in 4-5 min the water is done and making tea is super fast and easy! I bought one of those too!5Best Tea In The WorldI am Irish and I grew up always drinking lyons tea when I was young. I hadn't had it in quite a few years as I moved and couldn't find it locally anymore. My wife got this for me for Christmas and I have already went through a whole box of it. It really brings me back to when I was young staying with my granny in Dublin. I have enjoyed it so much we ordered a 3 pack for my mother and they are on the way to her right now. I know she will be thrilled to recieve it. It is by far, bar none, The Best Irish Tea ever made. If you are Irish you need to order this. It is fantastic. It will bring you right back to Ireland when you taste it! I will be buying it again!!!5Excellent with purified bottled waterI have experienced BOTH GOLD BLEND and the ORIGINAL BLEND - both are excellent but GOLD BLEND is stronger and more caffeine.Orginal blend is good with 8oz cup of water.Gold blend is good with 12 oz cup of water.So, depending how strong you like your tea and how much tea you want per sitting you can order the right box for you.I sometimes use two original bags for 16 oz flask.If you want a great 8 oz cup with good tea flavor - original tea.If you want a strong caffeine kick go with gold blend.This tea is fabulous with purified water ONLY.This tea tastes horrible with tap water - see photo for proof via color of tea.I have been to Ireland and experienced the tea there and found the same tea to taste horrible here with tap water - but excellent with purified water.EXCELLENT TEA - BUT REMEMBER - WATER WATER WATER5Taste tested the best!I love this tea. I can only find it online. (Which is fine, since I buy everything online anyway.) I have been buying it a long time, because I bought a bunch of different import teas such as Barry's, Yorkshire Gold, PG Tips, and a few others I can't remember, and did a taste test. To me, this Lyon's Gold is the best. It is strong yet mellow, full-flavored, and you can steep it quite a while and it doesn't get bitter. Just add milk and sugar!5
