NON-FORTIFIED RICHNESS: LOOV nutritional yeast flakes are non-fortified, thus excluding synthetic additives present in fortified nutritional yeast. Nooch is low in carbohydrates and fat but naturally rich in B complex vitamins, high in fiber, protein, folate and pantothenic acid.
CHEESY NOTES: Our organic non fortified nutritional yeast has a savory, toasted, cheesy taste.
USE ANYWHERE: Organic unfortified nutritional yeast can be used by itself, or as an ingredient in vegan foods such as spreads, plant-based proteins, soups, or sauces. Consume directly – sprinkle on popcorn or kale chips; use in casseroles; top salads, soups, stews; or add to smoothies.
GOOD STORAGE IS KEY: Keeps best when stored in a sealed airtight container at room temperature, and in dry conditions. When done so, the expected shelf life is 3 years.
MANUFACTURING SINCE 19th CENTURY: The organic yeast is grown and processed from primary yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Our main ingredient in the growth medium is organic molasses. The yeast is roller-dried to form homogeneous flakes, and then toasted.
