I've bought Johnny's in the past????I've bought Johnny's Season salt in the past and always gave it a five star review. Must be under new management. I found it unusual that the lid had paper tape wrapped around it, but really never paid notice. When I went to use it I found that the season salt was leaking out into the tape and as I removed the tape from the cap it spilled all over the counter because the cap had a split in it across the side and three quarters across the top when removing the tap the cap fell off onto the counter spilling a lot of the contents and was clumped up because the moisture got to it. Obviously they have no respect for their repeat business customers.2So many good things said decided to try itI read about this stuff on a site and had never heard of it. So many good things said decided to try it. Accidentally ordered 3 BIG bottles of the stuff by mistake. Dear wife gave me that look (you know the one I mean). Then she tried it it.I tried to rectify my mistake by saying I could give some to my amateur chef brother. After she tasted it she declined that plan. Presently hoarding it like a precious metal stash.This stuff is great on anything, omelettes, vegetables, meats. Salty/savory goodness. Plan on using some in the next batch of sausage I make next hunting season.5NOT AS STATED- THESE ARE NO MSGNOT AS DESCRIBED AT ALL. Unlike the picture or description, they said "NO MSG" on the label. The ingredients are NOT at all as listed or pictured - it is the ingredients for the no MSG one.Listed on the description: "Fine grain crystalline salt, monosodium glutamate, pepper, paprika, granulated garlic and spices". What you ACTUALLY get; " Salt, sugar, paprika, garlic, spices, microcrystalline (anti-caking) no added msg"1Johnny's is the best... even though they changed their formula...Over the past couple of years I went through a 5 lb bucket of it purchased at a restaurant supply. But you can't get it with MSG anymore, they quit making it. I contacted the company to be sure. So I was forced to get the no-MSG stuff. The original formula is better, the no-MSG has sugar in it. I just bought some MSG and I mix it in myself. This 42oz one is the best value by far. It's the next best thing to the original. Minus 1 star for them changing the formula.4Taste the same to me.I've been using Johnny's seasoning salt for at least 25 years and I can't tell any difference between the old seasoning and this new "no MSG" version. We use it on everything, give it a try on popcorn!!5Great seasoning... got one without a lid to dispenseI want to give this 5 stars, but I managed to get a bottle without a porous lid under the cap - first I ve ever had happen - also the first time it wasn t in a local store to buy either since moving... traumatized thinking we d used up our bottle and would buy another after moving... at first I thought I d use some other container we had, but everything is too small so only the fine grain comes out. I can see from the dust under the cap this bottle got skipped3A must have in your kitchenI LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Johnny's seasoning salt. When I moved from Washington State, I was sad that I was unable to get this down here so now I have to order it off here. But that is ok, I can still get it. I love the little size bottles because it fits perfect in my seasoning drawer. This is way better then Lawry's seasoning salt. I ended up giving my friend a bottle since she had never had this and she was like, even though it has MSG this seasoning salt is AMAZING! She ended up using the bottle in 2 days. She used it on her pork for dinner both nights, she made sausage gravy and said it was amazing! I already know how amazing this stuff it and I'm happy I converted someone else over to this amazing stuff in a bottle. Soooo if you want an amazing seasoning salt, this is the one!5Excellent Flavorer of FoodI order this product after tasting prime rib at a friend's house. He said this is the only seasoning he used. I tried it on my own prime rib and and was very impressed. I am looking forward to using it on other foods. One word of advice: You can't tell from the photograph but the container the product comes in is very, very large (42 oz. I believe) Great value for the price but, at my age, I won't have to reorder!5Magical S**t!!!!!!!This is a must have staple that I grew up on but have to order online after moving across country when I was a teenager, this is the basis for a many of our families recipes. My grandmother's famous fried chicken uses only Johnnie's and flour oil and margarine, ect. Beef stew, only Johnnie's, it is magic!!! You can use it on almost anything. I also love the salad elegance which isn't for just salads. Not tried anything else but bet you can't go wrong.5New Favorite!This is really, really good. I'm very happy I found this on Amazon. I used to use the popular season salt brand that begins with "L" but this is not only better but I can get twice the amount for same price. It also has a shaker top even on this big container which is great so I don't have to transfer it to another smaller container. I cook for a family of three and expect this to last quite a while.5
