Great product for slipping glasses, but only for a limited time.These pads are amazing for keeping my glasses from sliding down my nose for about a week. After a week, the oils on my nose seem to degrade them, and they become too slick to provice anything more than padding. After about two weeks, the glue gives out all of a sudden and they often end up in my eye. I have to buy them in bulk as I'm constantly replacing them. If these were longer-lasting, the rating would be higher.3These are great!I wear large frame, fashion forward plastic frame prescription glasses. I have tried everything out there(I think!) and these are the only ones that work for me. I get about 4 to 6 weeks out of each pair and when you consider it, the cost is well worth not having the hassle of pushing up my glasses all day long. :-)5Too thin for my needsI bought these because my normal nose pads were sold out. I've only been using them for a few days, but I can already tell they are not going to cut it. I suffer from tension headaches from ill-fitting glasses, which is usually alleviated by some good nose pads. With these, I already have a tension headache. If you are a frequent buyer of nose pads, beware that these are much thinner than the normal soft kind, and are also a lot harder. However, if you are only looking for a small amount of cushioning and have black frames, these are a nice color and blend in well.3Invisible and Sticky!I bought these about a week ago to put on my black-framed reading glasses. I needed something that would not stand out and keep my glasses from sliding down my nose. I managed to put the thick black pads in place and they stuck to the bridge of my glasses well. The soft black padding substance worked decently enough--it was an improvement but not exactly what I had hoped for: I could still see the pads a little and my glasses still slid a little bit. This was still an improvement over the way the glasses had been.I got to work this morning, and put my glasses on. After an hour I realized I had not had to push my glasses back up my nose at all! The product was now doing the exact thing I bought them to do! My glasses aren't moving on my nose and I can't see the pads at all! Amazing!It turns out that I just needed to break them in for a little while. Maybe I had just installed them wrong and the black padding was just there to help with installation? Either way I have finally worn the pads down to nothing so that all that remains is a nearly invisible, very thin and sticky substance. Now my glasses don't budge. At all. Brilliant!I do wish the product description was better, saying that the black silicone was really only to protect the actual product in shipping and to aid in installation. If there had been instructions indicating those two things I would have given four stars for sure.3They are not very good. At first they do what they are meant ...You get what you pay for. They are not very good. At first they do what they are meant to do but, as with me, wear sunglasses all the time so the adhesive doesn't last very long and they start to slide around and get glue on my nose. Also you have to constantly clean them so the don't slide off. Which the point is that they aren't suppose to. I would say people who don't regularly wear glasses can prolly use these but anything more should find something else.1Awkwardly large and visibleThese are bigger than any glasses nose piece I've ever seen. I had to trim them down by about half their size, and they were still so thick that you could see them clearly when I was wearing my glasses. The adhesive seems fine for light wear, but I was hoping to use these to keep my plastic frames from falling down my nose. These might work better for men or very large frames such as sunglasses.2Decent adhesion; comfortable and just the right (subtle) amount of "lift"I cleaned my glasses very well first (soap), then stuck these on the nose area. They are thin and the same color as my glasses, so they're basically unobtrusive. Since I have a thin/narrow nose, these "lifted" the bridge of my glasses just enough to make my sight lines perfect. I wear those glasses 5/7 days per week, including 3 sweaty days at the gym. I rinse my glasses daily too. So far they have not budged... 3 weeks and counting! I think the key is having a wide, smooth and super clean surface when applying.5POSITIVE: > The surface area of the pads are ...POSITIVE:> The surface area of the pads are of a reasonable size - that's about itNEGATIVE:> Silicone is "smooth" and not a "rough" texture. They help to keep your glasses on your face but not as well as they could be if the surface texture was different.> The adhesive on the back only lasts for about a week. For their price, they are extremely expensive to have the adhesive fail so quickly. I am looking into gluing them back on somehow, but they definitely are over-priced for their quality.2Too Much Money for Too Little TimeIt was worth a shot, but they DO NOT hold up!Here is the process:1) I clean my glasses.2) I clean the area of application with alcohol.3) I let them sit and dry for 10 minutes.4) I apply the nose pads to my glasses.5) Application Complete.Four days later, they are coming off and a new set is needed. I have 9 pair. At this rate, I will need to buy 3 of the 30 packs per year. That will cost me almost $90! It just isn't worth it! I am going to have to find a different vendor. These simply do not pass muster and I would advise passing on this brand.Other than the fact that they don't last worth a poo...they are comfortable! There's your silver lining...FOLLOWUP:After the pads finally fell off the glasses, it turns out that they actually separated from the adhesive leaving the adhesive stuck to the frames. This is due to the laminating process. If the adhesive were hermetically connected to the silicone, they would last weeks or months, not days! Poor design and manufacturing quality. Lowering my rating!1They're ok but won't fulfill your long term needsThey work excellent in the sense that your glasses won't slide one bit. However, the sticky side won't stay sticky for a long time. Maybe two weeks or more depending on the surface of the glasses. Mine was smooth shiny plastic so they started sliding off after a couple weeks.3
