Needs creamerDrinking this coffee straight with a french press isn't the best, and you can miss out entirely on the orange flavor. Adding a bit of chocolate milk (my choice for creamer) brought out the orange taste well enough to change my opinion. Seemed to be a bit dark without the creamer to be considered balanced. Your kitchen will smell like oranges after opening the package. Not bad if you know how to dress a coffee.4/11/2019Found out that my previous electric kettle has been wonky with the temps and that greatly affected my experience.I will be updating this at a later date when I get another bag.4best coffee by far!!!this coffee is amaxing. first purchaseday in Oregon many years ago, and returned to the east coast and have been drinking g ever since. nothing compares to rich flavors of this coffer. always prompt delivery, always excellent coffee!!5Very Fine, Good ValueI visit Guatemala and have had good coffee on plantations and all over the country. I found this organic roast to be of very good quality. The flavored were true to form, the overall taste balanced and it's at a good price point. I'm sure the indigenes people who bath in the waters downstream of these plantations will also appreciate people buying organic. I compared this blend side-by-side with two others and it was tied with my favorite, which is more expensive and not organic. So, I will be doing more business with this company.5Delicious Bang for the buck!First time I bought this product, first time I ground it last night and brewed my personal mug this morning. Super delicious! Guatemala is usually my favorite style that I get via starbucks for $15 a pound. This stuff is even better and just as, or even more delicious. Also a great bang for the buck. Hopefully it is actually fair trade organic... don't always believe the stamps. Also the beans have a nice oily sheen when they come out of the bag, and it's a nice moist grind if that makes any sense. Lower quality coffees don't grind the same. This specifically has a potent aroma after a fresh grind that I love. Yes Guatemala is my favorite style!5Great Coffee--Smooth, Balanced, and FreshI've really liked FRC; everything arrives very fresh and ready to be enjoyed. I have family in Guatemala and they introduced me to Huehuetenango. I also feel good supporting the organic growers in this fantastic coffee region. I alternate this with organic Mexican Chiapas every-other month. Can't decide which one I like best. I use the Clever Dripper with these fresh beans. Good every morning!5Good tasting coffee and great valueGood tasting coffee. Typically, Guatemalan coffee is on the milder side, but this was fairly bold. Good price for organic coffee. (Everyone should really drink organic coffee, because otherwise, growers in the tropical regions need to spray the sh-t out of these bushes to keep off insects. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers not permitted in the U.S., are freely sold in other countries). Would buy again.5Good coffee with milk chocolate characterHuehuetenango (HHT) coffee is one of my favorites. However, roasting is a big part of single origins tasting great and the roasters at this company need to work on it a little more or quite possibly the bean isn't as high quality as my local roaster.This is a good starter bag for anyone just beginning their journey with Single Origin beans which are only available certain times of the year. Some HHT will offer a milk chocolate character with caramel and orange undertones. It's the perfect morning coffee for the winter months3very smooth and drinkableThe main reason I bought this coffee is because it is organic AND fair trade, for the same price I was paying per oz for just organic. Didn't notice until the bag arrived, but it is also bird certified, whatever that is. I split the beans up into multiple air-tight containers so it should be fine, taste-wise, at the end of the bag, even though this is a huge amount to purchase at one time for my wife and I. The beans have an expiration date exactly 11 months from now, so that means they sent me a bag that was roasted about a month ago. Fine with me--it smells good. As far as the taste, it is good. I agree with the tasting notes on the front (milk chocolate, orange, balanced). I'd also say wine, maybe. It is very smooth, and a little earthy. I rarely get Guatemalan coffee; I usually stick with Colombian, Costa rican, or Mexican Altura. I'm really happy with this though. Shouldn't have any problem drinking the whole bag.5Its good!What can I say?...its good quality coffee. Good value too. I've always loved Guatemalan coffee. I am actually a home roaster that doesn't take the time lately to roast my own green beans. This product, conveniently available on Amazon prime, is a good (great) backup. Thanks FRC. One question, given that its sold vial Amazon Prime, and I assume you do FBA....how long typically is it between the time of roasting and the time your average customer rec'vs the order? It tastes plenty fresh, but it must be like a week or 2 old at least, right? Just curious5mellow, smooth and deliciousA great every day coffee with a good price. Several purchases reveal some inconsistency in the product. First example was very fresh, the second a little stale. There is no question that fresh coffee makes a huge difference in flavor but with no 'born on date' one is left wondering how old it is. With a 'best by' date more than 6 months away, it makes me wonder if 'Fresh Roasted' is only a marketing attempt...4
