It's a magnificent idea. But, the execution has surely faltered since the first pair I bought!I am so disappointed!!! I loved my pair so very much that I gave them to a dear friend, thinking that I could just order another pair. In this pair, the lights are so much dimmer that I hardly know they are on! I keep making mistakes in my knitting as I sit beside my sleeping husband in bed when I wake up in the middle of the night. It's a magnificent idea. But, the execution has surely faltered!3Weak framesBought these and tucked them away, but when I finally got around to using them the frames broke in a matter of months. Batteries were already weak, so I never got to use that feature. Very disappointing. The best quality lens so far but without the frames the lenses are useless. Wish I had used them right after purchase when the warranty was in effect.1Creepy when its lit & the lights are out : )My husband loves it! He says it looks creepy in the dark but I think that's part of the appeal. This came with instructions about how to replace the batteries in a small folded piece of paper. Make sure you look for it when you open the package that way you wont discover the correct way to do the batteries by trial & error. I might get him another pair because he likes it very much.5These Glasses looked used. ???? ReallyExpectations are always inflated !!!!Really had high hopes on these as we have ordered before and all was well.When we fired up the headlamps, it appeared as if the lights were dim. These batteries (4 of them) are not cheap. There was also what appeared to be a torn off label on the frame.I would say they were usedSent back, not sure if I am reordering, have to sleep on that one. Just be cautious if ordering and expect surprises.1You better have a large head....Didn't like these at all and am in the process of returning them. One of the lights is intermittent, and one lens seems somewhat different than the other, almost like it's not the same magnification. Plus, this is obviously a men's size as they are HUGE; there is no way I could keep them from sliding. These got a lot of great reviews which is why I bought them, but they are no better than the ones that are about half the price. I bought a cheap pair on Amazon, and they were in a box labeled +1.50 but under that sticker was another one that showed +2.50, and the glasses were +2.50; sent them back too. I'll just have to find some locally so that I can try them out before I buy another pair online.1Didn't work right out of the boxReceived these glasses just the other day. I purchased them for my wife because she often reads in bed with poor lighting. However, one side didn't work at all and the other side is very dim. Not sure if it's a battery issue, but they definitely are not what I expected. Will be returning them for a refund. Not worth ordering another pair online as I can just pay a few dollars more and get them at CVS...with a case and not a zip-lock bag.1Perfect for crafts, small electric repair, detailed work and reading!Awesome! I can see all the little details for closeup work on small objects. LED lighting is very bright, each light is able to be independently turned on and off each side. Thank you 5Great glasses but Amazon did not pack instructions package.I love the glasses. I think they are a fantastic idea. They are great to use to read at night when you don't want to disturb anyone by turning lamp on. Using them during the night for a potty run. Going down in the cellar at night with the MANY MANY bulbs to load a dryer. I have yet to load the batteries as I just got them but had to call company and was told newer model is easier to handle but I dread having to buy them. I had to call company as did not get package with the glasses but mistakes happen. Amazon IS next to perfect. They are going to mail me instructions and which batteries to use. I RECOMMEND LOVE THEM. GREAT FOR POWER OUTAGES AS WELL. Make sure you check your box for instructions. I did and did not get them. My family thinks in am a geek. Lol.5The lights make it...I love these things....I bought my first pair awhile back at Walgreens, but this amazon price is better. My first pair (I've just reached the age to where I need readers) I bought as a bit of a novelty with the lights, and found that "HEY, these things really help".I flew my Mom in for a visit and she loved them...so much, in fact that she 'accidentally' left for home with them and I had to get a new pair. I just replaced that replacement pair with this new set as that the others broke from sitting on them in my shorts more than a few times.I use the lights a lot and so far, I've never had a need to change the batteries yet, so they seem to be pretty efficient on the lights.Anyway, of all the readers I like these the best, and a lot of my friends have bought these after seeing mine. They are really good when trying to work inside an old pinball machine you're trying to restore too!5I bought two and they are different. Beware!I bought two of these and the two are very different. I bought a tortoise shell (magnification = 2) and they are super bright. I really like these glasses. The light does come through the tortoise shell laterally to the eye. I put a small piece of electrical tape to help with the glare. It s not too bad. Some opaque paint may work better but be sure you don t paint them open or shut.The BAD is the black frame version (magnification = 1.5). The lights on these aren t nearly bright enough and other signs suggest they are either replicas or an older version. I swapped batteries with the tortoise just to verify that if the light was dim due to the batteries being weak but they weren t. The black frames are probably an older version and pretty worthless as far as a light. The writing on the frames look different too. I m suspicious and sending the black ones back, but keeping the tortoise!Update: the manufacturer says the Black frame I received was an older version of the glasses. So be aware that one vendor is selling the older, dimmer version.5
