FINALLY a Good Chocolate K-Cup and Decaf to Boot!I saw all the stars so I crossed all my fingers and ordered a box of these last week. Score! I was so happy I screamed out loud, "Yes!" halfway through my first cup. We've tried ALL of them in our house, it's true every chocolate K-cup out there... German Chocolate Cake from so-and-so, Cafe Mocha from so-and-so, and a couple versions of Chocolate Glazed Donut from so-and-so, various others... you get the point. None of them are quite right; some have weird aftertastes, and they're all lighter roasts. More importantly, none of them are decaf. As a result we've been stuffing our own K-Cups. Not anymore!Around 75% of what we consider taste is actually smell, and Crazy Cups knows it. The aroma's great, and once the coffee cools a bit you can taste more of the chocolate in the coffee itself. So happy to find this! We also like that the cups have ridges on them so we can ID them fast while we're fishing through the box o' pods. We already ordered more, as well as another of their flavored decaf blends.5Too yummy to pass up! Get it now!Well, yummy!!! The decaf Chocolate coffee is a perfect night time snack for me. So delicious and calorie free. I do use some Splenda. SO GOOD!! I can t wait for cold, well we don t have cold weather, but can t wait for cooler weather to pretend I need the yummy coffee to warm me up and feel the season. I definitely recommend this coffee.However, I wish I had read the reviews earlier. After trying a few pods I thought my Keurig was broken, threw it out and rushed to Costco and bought a new one. It didn t work either. When I put the pos in the machine turned off. I toke it straight back. Then I ordered a pretty red Keurig from Amazon to come next day. Guess what?? It did exactly the same thing! I sent it back and ordered a more expensive one and a lot more Kcups. That s when I finally realized it was only the Death by Chocolate ones not working. I thought it was the dip on the bottom that seemed deeper. So I bought a DIY Kcup at Walmart and just open the chocolate one and pour it in and it works perfectly. That s why I don t think it s pressure because I pack it in really tight. Anyway guys who make it, you really need to change your design because it s causing an awful lot of trouble.5A Wee Bit DifferentWell, for me anyway, I use primarily decaf for health reasons. As everyone knows, various flavors of decaf are hard to come by, unless you like Hazelnut or Vanilla, (some good ones too). Good regular decafs too. Since I like flavored decafs, I tried this. I have tried their Chocolate Decadent and their Chocolate Coconut which I also liked.On my first one, I DEFINITELY noticed the aroma..the banana..definitely different. Like the other flavors it does have a unique taste, and like others have said, the banana flavor comes on strong a little later, which surprised me.I feel some people must get used to this type of coffee, but I did quickly, and have it all the time. I have had various flavors for the better time of 6 to 8 months, and after 4-5 boxes have not had one blow up, leak, or spit grounds. They have all arrived on their regular sealed boxes in perfect condition.I recommend trying it. I also experiment with different creamers. The last time I tried it with a very little bit of chocolate..I think I found something.5oh wow, oh wOw......oh WOW!!!I think I've found my new favorite flavor! I took a chance with this one, not 100% sure I'd care for it only because banana FLAVORED things often tend to be "fake" tasting, if y'know what I mean. Well I gotta tell you, nothing artificial tasting here at ALL!I agree with some other folks in that it's not an overly strong banana flavor; the banana taste hits you more at the end which actually might be what's keeping it from having that fake banana flavor. Plus, in my opinion I'd consider it more of a light-roast rather than a medium-roast coffee. As that doesn't bother me (I just brew it on the smallest...the 6-oz cup size cup size), no star-subtraction there. Of course that's all personal preference.I LOVE Crazy Cups' Death by Chocolate and I thought nothing would ever replace that as my first love, but I think the Bananas Foster Flamb has now really taken the crown, and THAT's really saying something!!!5Way too bitterI drink coffee every morning and I m big on flavor. Living in the Midwest in the winter I like something warm to drink in the evening and I m very sensitive to caffeine. Therefore I have been hunting for decaf coffee for sometime. I have tried these flavors in caffeinated and they have been pretty good however this flavor tasted terrible to me! It was way too better! I have not had much success with finding a decaf coffee. I end up doctoring it up so much that i might as well heat up my almond milk & call it a day. I added a packet of sugar and almond milk... vanilla and still had to add more sugar. Still bitter.Some of the cups busted during shipment and others didn t work in my keurig. I ve never had an issue before.The major disappointing part is that I had to dump the cups out because Amazon doesn t take returns on food.I ll continue on my decaf coffee hunt for now......2Exploding pods!!!I read other reviews on kcups and how they would some reason explode. This never happens to me except for this batch of pods I purchased. Imagine coffee grounds all over the counter, and my coffee maker, it even exploded and hit the floor. What a mess to clean up and after all that the next morning the same thing. I just have received a bad batch. Anyways I wouldn't recommend these at all. Only one out of 3 didn't explore and I can say the flavor was good, but I just don't want to be cleaning up grounds from the pods exploding each time. Will order again but stay with the brand I always get.1Buyer BewareBuyer beware! The taste is fine, but the quality control regarding the pods is EXTREMELY lacking! I ordered one box of the Decaf White Chocolate coffee and found the flavor to be alluringly good. Thus, I ordered a second box of the same flavor. However, after using two pods the next four pods virtually exploded all over the coffee maker and counter. The next two pods had " mini- explosions". I give up. BTW, it is most definitely the pods that are the problem since the same thing happened in two different coffee makers and has only happened with this brand of pods. I consistently use different brands of pods and only these have this problem. They are advertised as recyclable and I suspect that the explosion issue relates to that differentiating quality. I am not one to write negative reviews but felt compelled to do so so that others may learn from my mistake.....their mistake!1Crazy Cups Decaf..You Do Have A Choice In DecafFirst, I have been buying Crazy Cups for a while now. Was worried about some reviews about exploding cups. Many orders (an over 100 cups later) no issues at all..just like any other cup. I have had other flavors before, and decided to try this one. A little different, not quite coconut, but close enough. It was not bitter, I did not get an aftertaste, (I am a light to mild drinker in strength). I drink decaf primarily (high blood pressure and don't like running around with nervous energy) so I look for decaf. As we all know, unless you like Hazelnut or Vanilla, there are very few flavored decafs. I usually used a hand-loader and bought ground coffee and "rolled my own". That still works, but flavors are minimal. So I started buying these an was well rewarded. I am of the opinion that not all will like the flavor, but I do especially at night. treat it as a desert. I also look for better prices, wait and pounce. There are too many good coffees out there less then 50 cents a cup. These can exceed 60 cents each so be careful of pricing.4Threw them out, unable to brew 5 of 6 tries.So disappointed in these this time.I have been a long time fan and purchaser of these pods but will not do so any longer. That last two boxes I received had k-cups that jammed my Keurig. We have a KEURIG K-Caf Special Edition Single Serve Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino Maker.I knew it was an issue when I put in a pod pressed 12 oz and brew on my Keurig and after 15 seconds it just shut off. Like powered off. Researching this it seems like if there is too much back pressure on the pump it will shut off so it doesn t destroy itself. Nice feature.But in 5 of my first 6 kcups this happened. I only has a single successful brew one time out of six attempts.When I ejected the pod there was a large hole in the top with grounds surrounding it and a small hole in the bottom as it should have been and there were grounds and a small amount of coffee in the mug.Removed everything and cleaned the pod holder needles (top and bottom) and tried again. Identical issue.Cleaned everything again. Asked myself if it was a machine or pod issue. Popped in a Green Mountain pod - no issues. Full cup of perfect coffee.Two days later identical issues. Wasted two pods, gave up - Green Mountain here I come.Three days after that I was frustrated but wanted to try again since I was already outside the return window and felt weird returning a box of opened coffee. I popped in a pod and like magic it worked. Convinced myself that maybe the first pods in the box were defective. Next day another new pod from the same box. And. Poof. Keurig powers off. Dang it. Look at the pod same issue. I am done at this point I am not going to ruin my coffee maker over these podsTossed the remaining pods and will look elsewhere for flavored decaf pods. Truly disappointed in what happened with this batch.1This product damages Keurig BrewersOur Keurig brewer stopped working yesterday. When we called to ask for assistance we were told that the Crazy Cups may have caused the problem. The information on the Crazy Cup package says the cups are " compatible for use with most K-Cup brewers" whereas the statement on the Cameron's package says "for use in Keurig brewers." Obviously, the Crazy Cups are not compatible with the Keurig brewers and should so state or, at least, not mislead.All is well because our brewer was still under warranty and they are sending us a new one.1
