Very softWell they are what they say they are but for being behind the trach and us having to put Vaseline on them to keep skin lubricated these are almost to soft for that but other than that. I Personally have a patient tampering problem and would like to see an adhesive over bandage that allows for circulation but covers all of the four sides fully. Thank You. 4Five Starsperfect for feeding tube and not available in local drug store 5The size, 4" x 4" and the split in ...The size, 4" x 4" and the split in the gauze is what I wanted for my adult son's tracheostomy tube and feeding tube that needs to be changed out a few times a day for the last seven years since his car accident. I was really surprised to feel how much more stiffer it is than other brands I've purchased in the past. It is not as soft as others and and the corners can irritate (around the neck) if the fibers aren't manipulated a bit or cut to a rounded edge. I bought 12 boxes, I'm still using them but I have to work the fibers, within it's package, to soften it a bit. 3Great productMy wife needs this product because she has a drain coming out of her back, and these absorb the goo that doesn t go through the line 5Best Brand of Drain Sponge on the marketA box of these should not cost over $7. However, this is the lowest price around right now. Aside from price, this is the best drain sponge on the market for under tracheostomy tubes or G-buttons. They are woven in a way that the threads don t separate upon getting wet. Therefore, they absorb nicely and serve their purpose well. A different brand had a plastic feel too it, so the moisture just rolled off and onto skin and clothing. Another brand was less ply and loosely woven and left threads stuck all over. Wish that these would come in grey to be less obvious when under a trach tube. 5Expired productI wish I could give no stars. The product packaging looked yellowed and old so I started checking the dates on the package. There was a date on the back that read 2004. This product expired 12 years ago. 1confusing descriptionI received 25 paper packages of 2 items inside the packages for the described 50 sponges. These are the thinnest sponges I have seen in the 4 years that I have needed them. 3Good quality , pre cut do not stick to wound .I recently had a couple of very intensive surgeries with drain tubes and bags . These were great and there were two in each package , they don't stick as there are no loose threads . Good quality at fair price . I was very pleased . One box took care of the whole time for me . 5Misleading Sales TacticThe product itself is fine, but Seller offers "Pack of 50 sponges (Box of 25 packs, 2 per Pack)". This deviates from distribution from Manufacturer who sells 50 "Single Use" Sponges (50 Packs, 2 per Pack). The seller simply cut the box in two pieces and sells an open box. The manufacturer cautions against as this item is to be sterile single use. 3
