Good brace for beginning a brace wardrobe!This brace gives moderate support to my wrist and thumb. I ve been wearing it for about a week now and would say it is helping. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and the beginning of osteoarthritis in my thumb/hand. The brace is easy to get on and off and is comfortable enough. My hardest adjustment to wearing it is that it does cut down on your hand mobility. I can use my fingers fine, but forget about doing anything that requires more dexterity. Not that I expected to be able to do much with a brace on my hand! I believe I will need to have a brace wardrobe to be able to do the things I like to do so this brace is a good one to start with. I can t fit a mitten over it which is a drag as I walk dogs everyday and with the colder weather it would be nice if there was a mitten I could slip over it. Overall I m satisfied. 5the thumb tip velcro will not stay on, making product uselessthe wrist velcro and the mid palm one both work well, since the velcro the strap reverses direction through a loop on the brace. That prevents it sliding up or down, quite well. The similar Meuller brace has the same feature for the tip of the thumb strap, and so it stays put. This brace doesn't have it, so any motion of the thumb, in ordinary usage, causes the strap to fall off the thumb, making the brace completely useless.I bought it because the Meuller one hurts the skin on the side of the thumb, and was hoping this would be softer and less irritating. It is, but doesn't stay in place, so not worth the money. 1Great productMy physical therapist recommended this brace & it is great. I put it on every night before I go to bed & I wake up with less pain in my thumb. It doesnt restrict hand movement & isnt uncomfortable. And its easy to put on & take off. 5Firm but comfortable supportI ordered this thumb brace for my wife who likes to knit and crochet....too much! Prolonged repetitive motion makes her thumb joints ache. She has tried one other wrist/ thumb support. We chose the BraceUp this time for the two metal braces embedded in the padded thumb. They give excellent support and do not move or slide out of place. * She sleeps with the BraceUp on to allow her wrist/thumb to rest, supported, for long hours at a time. She doe not knit or crochet with the BraceUp on. 5helpsI bought this to replace the one I loss. I looked all over my hometown to get another one when I loss the brace. I was happy to find the exact replacement on Amazon. The thumb of the is alittle out of shape and mades the thumb to big for me even with the Velcro strap. After a few hours of wearing it formed to fit my thumb. I do like the little knit material inside the brace because the one I loss didnt have it. Well, guess who did it again. I hurt all the time and couldn't pick up anything heavier then a plate. I got this splint, wore it all day and to bed that night and WOW, what a difference. Now I just wear it when I've done too much or I just need to rest my hand. This splint saved the day for sure. I like that I could adjust the fit, looser just as a reminder not to over use the hand and tighter when I hurt and needed as much support as possible. I highly recommend this splint...it's like it custom made just for you 5
